J&C Joel manufactured a magnificent new set of deep red front tabs, complete with a scalloped top border featuring intricate appliqué work, for the Sunderland Empire just in time for the venue to celebrate its centenary.
J&C Joel manufactured and installed seven movable acoustic panels within the Cork School of Music's Curtis Auditorium.
A system of 13 J&C Joel pilewind winch units allow the panels to be raised and lowered independently and also tilted up to 30 degrees, making for a completely adjustable acoustic environment capable of staging anything from choral performances to full orchestral pieces.
J&C Joel have recently designed, manufactured and installed a range of stage machinery to the newly completed Strule Arts Centre, Omagh – Northern Ireland. The project included a 24, 5-line counterweight system, acoustic reflector hoist system, stage drapes and an orchestra lift.
J&C Joel, working in partnership with Strabane District Council and Production Services Ireland, has supplied and installed a stage flying system and mechanical engineering to the Alley Arts & Conference Centre in Strabane, Northern Ireland. The Alley is a 270 seat multipurpose venue funded by a £750,000 Lottery grant - the areas largest-ever award from the Arts Council for Northern Ireland.
Drape and stage machinery specialists J&C Joel and Triple E have teamed up to supply and install 8 large motorised Venetian acoustic banners, each measuring 4m², to the £4.5million Centre for Excellence in Teaching & Learning building at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
J&C Joel won a competitive tender to supply all buildings within the new Arena & Conference Centre Liverpool (ACCL) with theatrical curtains, stage tracking systems, portable chain hoists and truss units, plus a selection of ancillary equipment. Totalling to nearly 200 drapes of varying sizes, it was the largest single contract to date, with the work being delivered in four phases.
