Plasa Focus Leeds marks UK launch for J&C Joel’s new products
J&C Joel has debuted its new products for the very first time in the UK at Plasa Focus Leeds 2018.
Visitors to the show which ran from May 1 to May 2 at the Royal Armouries were able to view samples of J&C Joel’s seven new fabrics as well as chatting to the UK Sales team.
At the event, the leading manufacturer of flame retardant fabrics for the events and entertainment industries, showcased the West End Velvets – Palladium, Lyric and Coliseum – three hardwearing, luxurious IFR Velvets of differing weights perfect for Front of House and perimeter drapery.
James Wheelwright, J&C Joel’s CEO, said: “The West End Velvets generated a lot of interest at Prolight + Sound. So, we were keen to see what the feedback would be when we launched them in the UK at Plasa and it’s been really positive. They offer something unique to the market as aesthetically they look slightly different to other velvets, they are IFR which is becoming more important to our customers and they also meet US flame retardancy standards.”
Also available to view on the stand was Empress a superior new NDFR Velvet which meets BS5867, B1 and M1 flame retardancy standards and is also acoustically tested to Class B Absorber. Plus, Euro Wool Serge a new addition to J&C Joel’s world-famous Serge range which also meets B1, M1 and BS5967 flame retardancy standards.
Super Wide Width IFR Canvas was launched for the first time in the UK at Plasa Focus Leeds. It is the widest Inherently Flame Retardant (IFR) Canvas on the market allowing a 12.3 metre seamless cyclorama. Alongside Super Wide Width IFR Canvas, the team also had Harmony on display. A new 3D textured IFR Trevira CS fabric which can be digitally printed to match any environment.
At the show J&C Joel also launched its new 20-page Company Overview brochure which gives a brief synopsis of the family business, its 40-year history and is a great introduction to the Sowerby Bridge firm.
A 60-page Engineering Portfolio was on display which contains 17 project profiles detailing some of the businesses most prestigious Stage Engineering jobs from the past few years. The portfolio also features solution overview pages explaining the turnkey stage engineering solutions J&C Joel offer.
James concluded: “We had such a great response to our new products and brochures at Prolight so to follow it up at Plasa – our local northern show – and receive even more great feedback is fantastic for us.
“It’s really important for us to keep developing as a business and bring new innovative products to the market for our customers. Ensuring we’re delivering the very best products, supporting materials and giving great customer service is at the very heart of what we do.”
