Challenges & Successes
J&C Joel, in collaboration with Band on the Wall, undertook the execution of a project involving bespoke drapery and tracking solutions. This included the creation of two black Wool Serge drapes for the main stage and two mulberry Countess velvet drapes lined with black Sateen Lining. J&C Joel manufactured all drapes with 50% fullness and hook and loop edges to effectively conceal the space. In addition, a custom curved Triple E 2Way track system was installed within a suspended plasterboard ceiling recess, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
Throughout the project, J&C Joel worked closely with Inner City Music to plan the installation program meticulously, resulting in a bespoke track system that harmonised flawlessly with the venue’s design. Notably, the drapes were interconnected using hook and loop tape, allowing for complete masking of the space when required. This project transformed the overall ambience of the venue.
