J&C Joel’s projects team were commissioned to supply durable and versatile perimeter curtains and curtain tracking capable of complementing any event held in Manchester Central Convention Centre’s Exchange Hall.
The Exchange Hall at the Manchester Central Complex was designed to be a flexible venue capable of hosting a wide range of events, from trade exhibitions and event hospitality to conferences and large-scale banqueting.
Walk-along Erail curtain tracks were installed around the perimeter of the Exchange Hall and also above the venue’s 10,000m² floor space so that parts of the hall can be curtained off as and when required, depending on the requirements of each individual event.
Oxford blue Coloured Wool Serge (WS008) was chosen for the hall’s perimeter curtains for its strength and durability. Not only are wool serge curtains hard wearing enough to meet the demands of such a busy venue, the fabric provides excellent acoustic and sound dampening properties and blocks excess light from entering the event space.
