Summary
J&C Joel was contacted by studio Flat-e to support them with Falling Light, an immersive art installation with original music by electronic musician Daniel Avery.
The focus of the installation was a horizontally hung, 16.3m diameter circular Fine Gauze screen floating above, inviting the viewer to gaze upwards and contemplate the idea of light emerging from darkness.
The minimal aperture of the Fine Gauze created a “not there” aesthetic whilst providing enough surface area for the client’s content, creating a unique spectacle that placed the audience within the performance as light falls onto their bodies, making them part of the work.
