World leading theatre drape manufacturer, J&C Joel, continued their support for the Association of British Theatre Technicians (ABTT) by exhibiting at their trade show held at Alexandra Palace.
J&C Joel took the design and build of their own stand in-house for this year’s show. The firm’s creative manufacturing team took the opportunity to demonstrate their traditional drape making skills by producing some luxurious Empress (VEL178) Front of House curtains finished with lime green Regal Satin (REG009) and some matching custom dyed hand woven bullion fringe. They also produced a swaged pelmet finished with the same lime green custom dyed bullion.
In addition, the team produced a pair of entrance drapes finished with a shaped pelmet complete with hand cut appliqued company name and logo.
Behind the Front of House curtains, J&C Joel hung a digitally printed Theatre Canvas to provide some depth to the faux stage. The team also laid 30m2 of printed Joelmat (JMP001) flooring to represent a stage and auditorium.
To finish off the stand the team used some ROBE lighting fixtures to add clever lighting effects enhancing the appearance of the faux stage.
