J&C Joel was assigned to manufacture and install new Front of House curtains, pelmet with appliqué, stage legs and a new Front of House stage track at Prestatyn High School.
Prestatyn High School is located in the Denbighshire county of north-east Wales. Built in 1956, the school has now become the fourth largest school in Wales and also has a Sixth Form.
The Front of House curtains were manufactured from J&C Joel’s maroon Countess (VEL007) measuring 6 metres wide with a 3.65 metre drop. The curtains were finished with black Sateen Lining (LIN002) with 50% fullness.
The pelmet also manufactured from maroon Countess (VEL007) measured 11.5 metres wide with a one metre drop, again lined with black Sateen Lining (LIN002) and sewn flat. The pelmet was beautifully hand finished with silver Stage Satin (SS001) and burgundy Stage Satin (SS004) appliqué.
The stage legs were manufactured and installed using J&C Joel’s black Wool Serge 565 (WS090) with 50% fullness and measured 1.2 metres wide with a 4.4 metre drop.
The team then installed a T60 Curtain Track System to the main stage. The system is purpose-designed for meeting the demanding requirements of any stage. It can be supplied for straight or curved applications, with a variety of carriers and is designed for electric, hand winch, hand line or walkalong operation.
