Challenges & Successes
The Budapest Opera House, also known as the Magyar Állami Operaház, was erected in the XIX century and opened its doors as one of Europe’s most prestigious Opera Houses in 1884.
J&C Joel was commissioned to manufacture bespoke drapes and curtains for the venue, the most extensive Laser Cut job we have undertaken using a repeated pattern. We also launched a new method by manufacturing the Molton fabric with iron-on backing for application. Overall creating the most complex drape with all different trimmings – fringing, two types of banding, two types of applique designs and Tassels.
