Celebrating the greatest moments in television and film, the 2009 British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Film Awards ceremony was the most important event in the British film industry’s calendar and took place at the Royal Opera House in London.
Winners on the evening included Colin Firth who won the Best Actor category for A Single Man and Carey Mulligan who won in the Best Actress category for An Education. The award for Best Film went to The Hurt Locker, an American blockbuster set in the Iraq war.
Those who walked on stage to collect their awards did so on black Joelmat Gloss (JG002) vinyl flooring. J&C Joel also supplied silver Stage Satin (SS001) curtains which gave a fantastic effect when lit and dressed the stage with a glamour befitting the occasion.
