Overview:

Founded in 1737 by the Drapers’ Company, Bancroft’s School is a co-educational private day school located in Woodford Green, London. Today, around 1,100 pupils aged 7–18 attend the school. The school actively commits to providing a truly transformative educational experience for every child.

Several notable structures define Bancroft’s School’s historic campus. Among these, the Grade II-listed main building stands out, which houses the impressive Great Hall.

Having previously completed work at the school, J&C Joel returned to refurbish the Great Hall with new front-of-house drapes, a bespoke specially shaped pelmet, and a stage skirt. J&C Joel crafted the pelmet and drapes using 50 metres of Ink Blue Velvet, ensuring a high-quality and visually striking finish.

Triple E, who are J&C Joel’s long-standing partner, known for reliable stage engineering products, manufactured the E-Rail track on which the new front-of-house curtains were installed.

The installation team completed the process, which included fitting the drapes, skirt, and pelmet within three days and carefully coordinated their work around the school’s daily timetable.

As a result, Bancroft’s School expressed great satisfaction with the quality of both the manufacturing and the installation, and the school has since commissioned J&C Joel to conduct a full stage engineering inspection.
