J&C Joel was awarded to contract for designing, supplying and installing all the theatrical rigging systems for the Broadway Theatre at the new Broadway Macau. J&C Joel worked directly with the project management team to provide rigging equipment, rigging control systems and drapery throughout the entire Broadway Theatre. On this project we undertook full design, supply and installation on all theatrical rigging systems including drapes and tracks.
Within the stage area, the overhead stage engineering systems comprised: motorised truss lengths for lighting and scenic rigging; static truss lengths for border and leg curtain suspension; curtain tracks mounted to galleries and trusses; pin rails on either side of stage running full depth of stage; and a full set of black stage curtains and house curtains.
J&C Joel also designed, supplied and installed a curtain system that would reduce the house size from 2,800 seats to 1,000 seats to suit smaller performances / functions. This provision comprised motorised trusses, including control system; modular drapes to be located in any location along the trussing.
