During the refurbishment of Clydebank Town Hall in West Dunbartonshire, it was found that the Front of House track and screen system had perished and required major remedial works, therefore J&C Joel carried out installation and safety checks throughout the hall.
The Town Hall was built in 1902 and is now category A listed building. It was refurbished to create an excellent venue for a wide range of events from theatrical performances to weddings.
J&C Joel installed a new motorised curtain draw system and updated track fixings on the existing T60 track. The suspensions to the track system were stiffened and the travel limits were re-set along with fully servicing the track components, this allowed the curtains to be lowered and raised safely and efficiently.
Twinned with the Front of House curtains the existing screen system operation units and wiring had become unusable. In order to save expense to the client J&C Joel re-wired and routed power and control elements to safely operate the projection screen as well as testing the suspensions, giving the venue a fully operational projection facility.
