The Ladyboys of Bangkok Fur Coat & French Knickers tour in 2011 saw the troupe performing on a stage dressed in a series of glamorous fabrics and draping by J&C Joel.
The 13th successive UK tour, undertaken by the Ladyboys of Bangkok, combined the the glamour of a Las Vegas stage show with the spice of Bangkok’s nightlife, offering comedy, cabaret and risqué performances.
The audience entered each venue through an entrance pavilion manufactured from nine wine Cabaret Sparkle Velvet Velour (VEL070) drapes. The lurex thread running through the velvet catches the light making it ideal for cabaret shows where flamboyance and glitz is paramount.
J&C Joel’s Joelflakes were also used in the show, with both 3ft flurry (SNO001) and 5ft Sprinkle (SNO008) 3D stretch fabric shapes making an appearance.
As well as striking stage fabrics J&C Joel also provided stage masking curtains manufactured from Premier Blackout (PB001), a polyester blackout fabric, some of which were made with slits in the fabric allowing performers access to the stage from the wings.
