It was full steam ahead when J&C Joel supplied an Austrian Front of House curtain for the MS Eurodam cruise ship.
The 2,104 capacity MS Eurodam is a signature class cruise ship for the Holland America Line, and is the 80th ship to enter service for the line. It features an 890-seat theatre for which J&C Joel supplied an Austrian Front of House Curtain, borders, legs, travellers and fibre optic starcloths.
The Austrian Front of House Curtain within the Eurodam’s theatre was manufactured from a bespoke gold Trevira CS (SVE001) fabric lined with black Dimalan (DIM045). The curtain measured 11.25 metres wide with a 7.45 metre drop, and was made up of thirteen individual panels measuring 835 millimeters wide. An offstage panel of flat black Premier Wool Serge (WS090) was sewn to each side of the curtain.
A full complement of stage curtains were manufactured very black Heavy Velvet Velour (VELH040) and consisted of two borders, eight legs and a set of traveller curtains. A further set of travellers were manufactured from bespoke a lightweight silver metallic chiffon (MC001) lined with white Eclipse Lining (LIN005).
A further set of fibre optic starcloth stage travellers were manufactured from black Heavy Velvet Velour (VELH040), with a fibre optic density of 20 points per square metre.
