Summary
Following a public tender process, J&C Joel were awarded the contract to replace the Front of House Drapes and Pelmet together with new drapes for the Boxes and Sound Desk area.
The first task was to get to site to conduct a thorough survey, including templating the applique design on the Front of House Drapes and Pelmet. We also took detailed measurements of the trimmings that needed replacing.
From there, we drew all drapes to ensure the production process ran smoothly. The customer also requested a slight change to the Box Pelmet design, which was agreed following the submission of several options.
The fabric and trimmings colours were agreed by way of physical samples and from there production commenced.
Over the course of approximately 4 weeks, our production team manufactured all elements ahead of installation. Once complete, our expert team installed the drapes together with a full set of stage blacks made from our Wool Serge 565.
The end result was a stunning recreation of the previous drapes in a shade that better complements the auditorium.
