The International Centre in Telford is one of the UK’s most versatile and contemporary conference centres and is capable of catering for everything from small boardroom meetings through to large scale conferences and exhibitions.
J&C Joel specialise in the manufacture and provision of high quality and flexible event fabrics that are ideal for all manner of applications, including conference and event venues. The company provided perimeter curtains for the International Centre’s Hall One, Hall Two and the Ludlow Suite.
Wool Serge 565 (WS090) perimeter curtains were chosen to line the walls of the International Centre’s main exhibition spaces. This heavy and durable Wool Serge has excellent acoustic properties and can reduce sound reverberation within a space. Wool Serge 565 (WS090) is also the ideal fabric to block sunlight entering the Ludlow suite’s floor to ceiling glass wall. The perimeter curtains installed within the venue’s exhibition halls were manufactured specifically to meet the pitch of the ceilings, ensuring total coverage.
Each Wool Serge 565 (WS090) perimeter curtains were lined with black DFR Sateen Lining (LIN003) and manufactured to a width of 5.5m. The curtains were made with a fullness of 30% and spot Velcro sides so that they can be easily connected when drawn around the edge of the halls. Black tie tapes allowed the drapes to be hung from the 33m of UniTrack, which J&C Joel supplied.
