J&C Joel manufactured and supplied curtains and tracks within the main auditorium at Leicester Square Theatre.

Located in the heart of the West End, Leicester Square Theatre is one of London’s leading comedy venues and is renowned for its cabaret, music and theatre performances. The 400 seat theatre required curtains which could close off portions of the seats when hosting its smaller shows.

In order to do this, the theatre designed and installed T60 manual tracks to fit around the seating towards the back of the auditorium, therefore two special curved tracks were supplied along with two arc-shaped tracks with a radius of 19.3m and two L shaped tracks.

Eight curtains were manufactured in port Velvet Velour (VEL002), two of which were headed to 5m wide by 3.23m drop, two curtains were manufactured to 7.5m wide with a drop of 3.47m and a further two curtains headed to 10m wide with a 3.23m drop.

All of which were finished with Small Tab Hooks, 50% fullness and a chain-weighted bottom. Two smaller curtains were manufactured using the same Velvet Velour measuring 1.25m wide and 1.5m wide both with a drop of 1.80m, headed with ties top and a chain-weighted bottom.

On stage, the theatre installed a Major Pro-C Motorised Projection Screen in matt white, measuring 7m wide by 3.6m drop, this comes complete with steel casing, brackets and a hand-held remote control kit, provided by J&C Joel.
