J&C Joel was asked to provide stage curtains, tracks and portable stage decking within the 2000-seat multipurpose venue for the development of MGM Cotai Hotel.

MGM Cotai Hotel, is the latest addition to the MGM portfolio in China, costing US $3.4 billion; the integrated resort is said to “redefine the way people experience art and entertainment through seamlessly integrated technology”.

The Yorkshire-based company begun by providing 225m of manual walkalong of Erail track which covered the perimeter of the gantry’s around three floors. From the tracks J&C Joel’s Coliseum Velvet velour (VEL930) curtains were deployed.

In addition, J&C Joel provided 120m of H40 Ladder Truss, which was divided to provide three 40m sets, each set was suspended from chain hoists above the stage area to create adjustable borders. Again, J&C Joel hung Coliseum Velvet (VEL930) stage borders and legs from the truss.

Finally, J&C Joel focused on providing a loose supply of decking to facilitate an array of staging layouts with adjustable leg heights ranging from 0.2m to 1m. This included storage facility, transport carts, decking connectors and stepped access units to complete the project.
