Summary
JCJ brought a touch of refinement and functionality to Stockport Town Hall. Our team supplied and installed a variety of drapes and elements to transform the space.
We used Empress Velvet (VEL178) lined with black Mercury (MER025) for the exquisite front-of-house tabs. For the masking and storage area drapes, we employed the same Empress Velvet fabric, complete with 50mm eyelets that accommodated the existing poles. To enhance the stage’s functionality, we added stage legs, stage borders, and mid-stage tabs, all made from Wool Serge (WS091). These additions not only serve a practical purpose but also contribute to the overall appeal of the stage.
This project’s standout feature was the pelmet. It featured a continuous curve and a shaped header, created to precise dimensions determined by JCJ engineers during a comprehensive survey to ensure it seamlessly fit around the plasterwork featured in the proscenium. Our in-house design team meticulously laser-cut the crest and intricately laser-etched fine details using seven different Regal Satin fabrics for an outstanding finish.
